Why AURELIUS is buying Nokia Enterprise Campus Edge

Nokia said the sale supports its aim of concentrating capital where it can create the most long-term value, while giving ECE more independence and dedicated focus as a standalone company. AURELIUS intends to build on ECE's position in private 5G and industrial edge and expand into AI-driven industrial automation.

Deal terms and financing

AURELIUS is acquiring the ECE business, which serves nearly 900 customers. ECE employees are expected to transfer with the business, subject to local law and employee consultations.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, with completion expected in the first half of 2027.

Market context

Nokia moved ECE into discontinued operations earlier in 2026 after putting it up for sale in November 2025. Nokia shares fell on the day of the announcement.
