Deal terms and financing

Shareholders can elect to be paid in either currency. A go-shop lets Reliance seek rival bids until Oct 15, with Brookfield holding matching rights.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Closing is expected in the first quarter of 2027 after a scheme vote; AustralianSuper and Aware Super hold about 20% combined.

Market context

It was Brookfield's fourth approach after earlier offers from A$4.15 were rejected. Around 60% of Reliance's revenue comes from US housing and construction, and tariffs have weighed on earnings.
