De Cecco said the acquisition lets it control the whole raw-material supply chain directly and integrate recently renovated industrial and logistics plants, raising efficiency and margins in a segment where it already operates. RossoGargano sells in Italy and three of De Cecco's main international markets.

De Cecco is buying the entire share capital of RossoGargano under a contract signed on 1 June. The price was not given at signing; on completion chairman Filippo Antonio De Cecco said the deal was worth about €70m.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal required regulatory authorisations and was completed on 21 July 2026.

Market context

De Cecco expects sales volumes to rise from 2.7m quintals in 2026 to 4.5m in 2027 and revenue from €740m to €1bn, as part of its 2025-2029 industrial plan. RossoGargano coordinates its member growers' cultivation and processes their produce at its own plants.
