Loomis agreed on 5 May 2026 to acquire Hermes Transportes Blindados, Peru's leading cash management and secure logistics provider, from CVC Capital Partners and other shareholders at an enterprise value of about SEK 4bn.
Why Loomis AB is buying Hermes Transportes Blindados S.A.
Loomis chief executive Aritz Larrea described the purchase as a strategic milestone that takes the group into Peru. Hermes transports and stores cash, precious metals and high-value minerals and provides ATM services to about 1,000 clients from 19 branches.
Deal terms and financing
The enterprise value of PEN 1.45bn, on a cash- and debt-free basis, equals 6.6 times Hermes's 2025 adjusted EBITDA. Holders of 99.49% of the shares, led by CVC, committed to sell into a public tender for up to 100%. Loomis funded the deal entirely with debt and expected it to be immediately accretive to EBITA and earnings per share.
Regulatory approvals and timing
No regulatory approvals were needed after a successful offer. The tender ran from 31 August to 30 September 2026, when 99.80% of shares had been tendered, and Loomis completed the acquisition on 5 October for about $297m.
