Arity, the mobility data subsidiary of The Allstate Corporation, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire substantially all of the assets of INRIX, the transportation analytics company, it said on 16 October. Terms were not disclosed.
Why Arity (The Allstate Corporation) is buying INRIX (substantially all assets)
Arity said the deal combines its insights into driving behaviour and risk, drawn from more than three trillion miles of driving data, with INRIX's transportation intelligence and mobility analytics, to give a fuller view of how people, vehicles, goods and roads interact.
Deal terms and financing
Arity is buying substantially all of INRIX's assets. No price was given.
Regulatory approvals and timing
The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in 2026.
Market context
INRIX was spun out of Microsoft in 2004 and counts carmakers, technology companies and state transportation departments among its customers. GeekWire reported it hired banks for a planned 2013 IPO and came close to filing again in 2022 before markets turned. Arity was founded by Allstate in 2016.
