Why Expro is buying Enhanced Drilling (Enhanced Well Technologies Group AS)

Expro said Enhanced Drilling's technology helps operators manage narrow drilling windows, improve wellbore control and simplify well designs, and that the deal would let it engage earlier in well construction planning. It expects to roll out the technology across more offshore basins using its global footprint.

“Enhanced Drilling is a strong strategic fit that expands our portfolio and strengthens our relevance in Norway, a market recognized for technical leadership in offshore operations.”Michael Jardon, Chief Executive Officer, Expro

Deal terms and financing

The price is payable in cash at closing, plus customary closing and working capital adjustments.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal was subject to customary closing conditions and was expected to close in the third quarter; Expro completed it on 23 July 2026.

Market context

Enhanced Drilling has supplied managed pressure drilling systems in offshore regions including the North Sea, the Gulf of America, West Africa, the Caspian and Asia-Pacific. Expro said the purchase strengthens its relevance in Norway, a technically demanding offshore market.
