Why GoMore ApS is buying Getaround Europe (Getaround SAS and Getaround Norway AS)

The companies said the deal creates Europe's largest peer-to-peer car-sharing network, consolidating the market under a locally governed group with GoMore's chief executive leading it.

Deal terms and financing

GoMore paid about €31.5m in cash and a promissory note for the equity of Getaround's European subsidiaries, with up to €2.3m more tied to collection of French research tax credits, according to Getaround's filing.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The share purchase agreement was signed on 22 April after consultation with Getaround SAS's works council and completed effective 30 April 2026.

Market context

Getaround's board later resolved to dissolve the US parent. Getaround built its European network across France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Norway and Austria; GoMore operates in the Nordics, Estonia, Switzerland, Austria and Spain.
