Why OVHcloud (OVH Groupe) is buying Seald

Seald's software development kit lets developers add end-to-end encryption to web and mobile apps without cryptography expertise, using a model in which data is encrypted before it is sent and only end users can decrypt it. OVHcloud plans to offer it alongside its existing KMS and HSM key-management products to companies and public-sector bodies.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Seald said in February 2026 that it had been acquired and that its technology would be integrated into OVHcloud's Public Cloud as OVHcloud End-to-End Encryption, with non-US customers migrated without interruption and US operations discontinued during the transition.

Market context

Seald's SDK holds CSPN first-level security certification from ANSSI. OVH Groupe shares rose nearly 3% on the day of the announcement, according to Zonebourse.
