Repligen agreed on 22 July to acquire BioLife Solutions, a Bothell, Washington-based supplier of cell processing tools, in a cash-and-stock deal with an enterprise value of about $1.5bn.
Why Repligen Corporation is buying BioLife Solutions, Inc.
Repligen said BioLife adds a high-margin, recurring consumables business in the fast-growing cell therapy market. BioLife's CryoStor biopreservation media support 18 commercially approved therapies and most US commercially sponsored cell-based therapy trials, while Repligen brings wider global reach, including Asia-Pacific.
“The acquisition of BioLife represents a natural next step in the evolution of our strategy”

BioLife's special meeting to adopt the merger agreement was held on 5 October 2026, and Repligen announced completion on 6 October.
