Why Seismic Software, Inc. is buying Highspot, Inc.

Seismic chief executive Rob Tarkoff pointed to growing demand for technology that connects sales strategy to execution. The combined company plans an AI-powered platform spanning enablement, content, learning, coaching, analytics and insights across the revenue lifecycle, and to invest more in AI capabilities for sales, marketing and customer success teams.

Deal terms and financing

Financial terms were not disclosed. The combined company operates as Seismic, led by Tarkoff, with Highspot founder and chief executive Robert Wahbe joining its board. Permira funds, invested in Seismic since 2020, remain the controlling shareholder.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal was subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals; CX Today noted in the spring that no closing timetable had been confirmed. Seismic announced on 18 August 2026 that the merger had completed and that Highspot's product would continue as Highspot by Seismic.

Market context

CX Today described the deal as one of the most significant consolidation moves in the sales enablement market in recent years. After closing, Seismic said it serves 2,500 customers and 3.5 million users and plans to invest more than $100m a year in research and development.
