Schroders agreed on 6 July to sell Benchmark, its UK integrated financial advice business, to Söderberg & Partners.
Why Söderberg & Partners is buying Benchmark Capital (Schroders)
Schroders said the sale sharpens its wealth business around Cazenove Capital in the UK and Schroders Wealth Management abroad, while giving Benchmark an owner able to invest in its next phase of growth.
Deal terms and financing
Schroders will become a long-term asset management partner to the enlarged Söderberg business. The price was not disclosed.
Regulatory approvals and timing
The deal requires FCA approval and is expected to complete by the end of 2026.
Market context
Söderberg & Partners, founded in Sweden in 2004, has £108bn in assets and 5,500 staff. Schroders itself agreed in February to be taken over by Nuveen.
