CrowdStrike has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Fiddler AI, a provider of AI agent observability and explainability, the company said on 3 November 2026 at its Fal.Con Europe event in Barcelona. It did not disclose terms; the Wall Street Journal reported a price of about US$400m.

Why CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. is buying Fiddler AI

CrowdStrike said Fiddler would add pre-deployment evaluation, continuous behavioural accountability and agent explainability to its Falcon platform, where it will be sold as Falcon Observe. The deal accompanied the launch of an AI agent 'kill switch' in Falcon.

“Fiddler is the flight recorder for every agent: the observability to explain exactly what an agent did and why.”George Kurtz, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, CrowdStrike

Deal terms and financing

The consideration is mostly cash, with part paid in CrowdStrike stock subject to vesting conditions. CrowdStrike separately agreed to acquire Dreadnode, an automated AI security testing company, which the Wall Street Journal valued at about US$95m.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Closing is expected in CrowdStrike's fourth quarter of fiscal 2027, subject to customary conditions.

Market context

Fiddler AI was founded in 2018 and had raised about US$99m, according to PitchBook data cited by TechCrunch. CrowdStrike paired the announcements with new AI agent controls in its Falcon platform.
