Pilot Fiber said on 22 October 2026 that it had agreed to acquire the New York and New Jersey metro fibre business of Boldyn Networks, alongside more than US$330m of new financing led by Fengate Asset Management.

Why Pilot Fiber (backed by Fengate Infrastructure Fund V) is buying Boldyn Networks' New York and New Jersey metro fibre business

The deal extends Pilot's reach into Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island and across New Jersey, taking its owned footprint to more than 1,600 route miles, 1,200 buildings and 50 data centres. About 100 enterprise, carrier and institutional customers will move onto Pilot's platform.
