Vivartia agreed on 14 October 2026 to sell its food service division Evergood to Recipe Unlimited Corporation. The Canadian restaurant group, controlled by Fairfax Financial, announced the share purchase agreement the following day. Greek press put the value at about €300m.

Why Recipe Unlimited Corporation is buying Evergood (Vivartia food service division)

Recipe said the deal accelerates its global growth. It adds a franchise-led network of street, mall and travel sites in Greece, including locations at airports, on motorways and on passenger ferries.

Deal terms and financing

Recipe is acquiring 100% of Evergood's shares. Neither side disclosed the price, but Capital.gr reported a consideration of about €300m, citing banking sources. Evergood's food service sales rose 13.1% in 2025 to €299.6m, with adjusted EBITDA of €32.8m.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The deal needs clearance from Greece's Competition Commission and has lender-related conditions. Closing is expected by the end of 2026.

Market context

The sale marks CVC's exit from Evergood, which it controls through Vivartia. Recipe operates more than 1,100 restaurants across 18 brands, mainly in Canada.
