Scandic Hotels Group has completed its acquisition of the hotel operations of Ireland's Dalata Hotel Group for EUR500m on a cash and debt-free basis, the Swedish company said on 2 November 2026.

Why Scandic Hotels Group AB is buying Dalata Hotel Group (hotel operations)

The acquisition gives Scandic a platform in Ireland and the UK through Dalata's Clayton Hotels and Maldron Hotels brands, extending the Nordic group beyond its home markets.

Deal terms and financing

The price is subject to closing adjustments and was financed with cash and existing debt facilities. Pandox, which bought Dalata with Eiendomsspar, said it had completed the legal separation of Dalata's property and operating businesses and the divestment of the operations to Scandic.

Market context

Pandox and Eiendomsspar took Dalata private in 2025. Scandic assumed operational responsibility for Dalata's 56 hotels, with about 12,000 rooms, under a management agreement from 7 November 2025 pending the carve-out.
