TotalEnergies has agreed to acquire a 30% operated interest in the Lang Lebah and B14 gas fields offshore Sarawak, Malaysia, from partners PETRONAS Carigali, PTTEP and KUFPEC, the companies said on 2 November 2026.

Why TotalEnergies SE is buying 30% operated interest in the Lang Lebah and B14 gas fields

TotalEnergies said the fields hold more than 6.5 trillion cubic feet of gas and will allow the creation of another large-scale gas hub in Malaysia, building on its 2024 acquisition of SapuraOMV and its expanded partnership with PETRONAS in 2025.
