Tradeweb Markets said on 19 October 2026 it had agreed to acquire Trumid Holdings, an electronic corporate bond trading marketplace, for about US$1.97bn.

Why Tradeweb Markets Inc. is buying Trumid Holdings, LLC

Tradeweb said combining the platforms' complementary dealer and buy-side protocols will let clients trade from bond issuance through the secondary market on one platform, and will extend its reach to hedge funds and systematic traders.

Deal terms and financing

The price comprises US$1.75bn for the business and about US$220m for tax assets. Tradeweb will pay about US$1.89bn in cash, mostly from cash on hand, and US$82m in equity to rolling management holders.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Completion requires HSR clearance, a UK CMA review condition and FINRA approval; the parties are targeting the first half of 2027, with an outside date of 19 October 2027.

Market context

Tradeweb, which facilitates more than US$3tn of trading a day across asset classes, said US credit represents a significant long-term growth opportunity as the market continues to move to electronic execution.
