Zorlu Enerji said on 22 October 2026 that it had completed the sale of its entire 41.28% voting stake in Electrip Global, owner of the ZES electric-vehicle charging network, to Wren House Infrastructure and the Kuwait Investment Authority for US$147.6m.
Deal terms and financing
The buyers acquired 16,128.52 A-group shares at US$1 each. Wren House paid US$65m in cash and US$82,619,178.97 was settled by repaying Zorlu's outstanding loan obligations to the Kuwait Investment Authority. Zorlu said it would use the cash for taxes arising from the transaction and for mandatory 2026–27 investment in its electricity distribution business.
Regulatory approvals and timing
The share purchase agreement was signed on 19 October 2026 and completed on 22 October. Zorlu said any gain or loss would be reported in its financial statements for the year to 31 December 2026.
Market context
ZES has operated intra-city and intercity charging in Turkey since 2018. Turkish outlet Teknoblog put the network at nearly 2,000 locations and more than 5,000 charging points. On the same day Zorlu Enerji asked bondholders to defer a US$60.5m coupon.
