Why Funds advised by Apax Partners is buying Odido Netherlands Holding (Warburg Pincus stake)

Apax said its funds would remain long-term owners and keep investing in Odido's network, customer experience and digital inclusion work. Odido said the deal provides continuity, with the same management team and strategy.

Deal terms and financing

Financial terms were not disclosed. The Financial Times reported in September that a buyout would value Odido at about €6.5bn.

Regulatory approvals and timing

Completion is subject to customary conditions, including regulatory approvals and consultation with employee representatives.

Market context

Apax and Warburg Pincus acquired the business in 2022 from Deutsche Telekom and Tele2 at an enterprise value of €5.1bn. Odido serves about 8 million consumers and businesses and runs 118 shops; its owners had considered an Amsterdam listing earlier in 2026 before dropping it amid weak demand.
