Dicker Data, the ASX-listed technology distributor, said on 6 October 2026 that it had agreed to buy New Zealand-headquartered Sektor Group for NZ$138.0m, about A$111.8m.
Why Dicker Data Limited is buying Sektor Group Ltd
Sektor gives Dicker Data an established, profitable operating presence in Thailand and Malaysia, with about 60 staff and physical facilities in those markets, as a platform for wider Asia-Pacific expansion. It also adds point-of-sale and enterprise mobility products and strengthens Dicker Data's cybersecurity and physical security offering across its network of more than 12,000 partners.
Deal terms and financing
The price is on a cash-free, debt-free, normalised working capital basis and is funded by an extension of existing debt facilities. Sektor reported gross revenue of NZ$440m and normalised pre-AASB16 EBITDA of NZ$22.7m for the year to 31 August 2026; Dicker Data targets annualised post-integration EBITDA of NZ$28m to NZ$32m and expects the deal to be accretive in FY26.
Regulatory approvals and timing
Completion is subject to standard conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected by the end of October 2026.
Market context
Sektor was founded in 2009 and employs about 230 people across Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Malaysia. Dicker Data, founded in 1978, distributes hardware, software and cloud products.
