DKSH has agreed to acquire NewBridge Pharmaceuticals, a Dubai-headquartered commercialisation platform for specialty and rare-disease medicines, for an enterprise value of US$390m, the Swiss group said on 19 October.

Why DKSH Holding AG is buying NewBridge Pharmaceuticals (100%)

DKSH said the deal expands its healthcare business into a new region, strengthens its higher-value commercial outsourcing capabilities and advances its plan to become a multi-regional, end-to-end outsourcing platform. NewBridge's portfolio spans oncology, neurology, immunology, gastroenterology and rare diseases, and its management team will join DKSH.

“It also represents an important step in our strategy to expand beyond Asia Pacific into structurally attractive healthcare markets and to strengthen our capabilities in rare diseases and innovative launches.”Stefan Butz, CEO of DKSH

Deal terms and financing

DKSH is buying 100% of NewBridge and will fund the purchase with debt, keeping headroom for further M&A and an unchanged progressive dividend policy. It expects the deal to add to net sales growth, core EBIT margin and earnings per share from closing.

Regulatory approvals and timing

The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals, and is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2027.

Market context

NewBridge was established in Dubai in 2010 and operates in 14 MENA markets. DKSH, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange, generated net sales of CHF11.1bn in 2025, of which its healthcare unit contributed CHF5.8bn.
