Inflexion said on 23 October 2026 that it had agreed to sell a majority stake in Celnor, a UK-based testing, inspection, certification and compliance platform, to Goldman Sachs Alternatives.
Why Goldman Sachs Alternatives is buying Celnor Group (majority stake)
Goldman Sachs Alternatives' backing is intended to accelerate Celnor's international expansion, particularly in the US and continental Europe, and to strengthen its acquisition capabilities.
Deal terms and financing
Financial terms were not disclosed. Reuters reported that the deal values Celnor at about €1bn, citing a person familiar with the situation. Inflexion will keep a minority shareholding, and Simon Parrington and the existing management team will continue to lead the company.
Regulatory approvals and timing
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
Market context
Inflexion created Celnor in 2023 as a platform to consolidate TICC businesses and has expanded it through acquisitions including US-based John Turner Consulting and French firms Tera Environnement and Toxilabo. It serves more than 20,000 clients across 60 locations.
