Wereldhave has sold the Eggert Center shopping centre in Purmerend to Transitions Europe, a fund managed by Arkéa REIM, for €62.8m excluding transfer tax, completing the deal on 30 October 2026.

Why Transitions Europe (SCPI managed by Arkéa REIM) is buying Eggert Center, Purmerend (from Wereldhave)

Wereldhave said the sale was part of its capital rotation programme and that the mandate to keep managing the centre showed third-party investors recognised its expertise in running Full Service Centers. It is the group's second management partnership in the Netherlands, after its 2025 joint venture with Tikehau Capital for Stadshart Zoetermeer.

Deal terms and financing

The €62.8m price reflects a net initial yield of about 7% and is roughly equal to the asset's latest book value. Proceeds will strengthen the balance sheet; with the sale of retail park De Mael in Bruges, Wereldhave expects its net loan-to-value ratio to fall by about 250 basis points compared with 30 June 2026. Its 2026 guidance for a direct result of €1.85–1.95 per share is unchanged.

Market context

The Eggert Center has about 20,700 sq m of lettable area and 55 shops, including Albert Heijn, Jumbo, HEMA, C&A and H&M, and draws about 4.4 million visitors a year. Wereldhave bought it in 2010 and later redeveloped it.
